What to Expect

Sundays at Bethel Church

Sunday mornings begin with Sunday School classes for adults, children, and youth at 9:00am, followed by our main Sunday service at 10:30am. Coffee is available before and between classes and the service. All students in grades 6-12 are also invited to Youth Group at 6:00pm in the Youth House.

Everything we do is centered on Jesus and grounded in Scripture.

Our Senior Pastor

Aaron Adams received God's call to shepherd Bethel Baptist Church in 2019 after twelve years on the North Shore of Chicagoland. His highest priority is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, applied to every area of life, which transforms people, families, churches, and communities for eternity.

Aaron was saved by Jesus at age 12, and continues to be amazed at the LORD's goodness to him. Aaron holds a BA in Religious Studies from Texas Christian University, and an MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Aaron and Heather have been married since 2004 and have three daughters. Aaron and Heather love to share Christ-centered hospitality and serve others.

Our Associate Pastor

Crandell Hemphill serves as Associate Pastor of Worship and Implementation at Bethel Baptist Church, where he is passionate about helping people know Jesus and worship Him. His desire is to see the gospel of Jesus Christ shape our worship, transform our lives, and impact our families and community.

Crandell came to faith in Jesus at a young age and continues to be grateful for God’s goodness and mercy in his life. He holds a BA in Pre-Seminary Studies and an MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and has spent over a decade leading and studying worship.

Crandell and his wife, Caitlin, have been married since 2021. They love making music, sharing meals, practicing hospitality, and enjoying good coffee with others.

On any given Sunday, you’ll see everything from button down shirts and dresses to jeans. Wear what you’re comfortable in.

The Music
Wondering what the music is like? 🎶
Our music is rooted in telling the story of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Glory of God. We sing old and new songs aiming to blend styles and eras with God and his Word at the center of our focus.

We invite you participate as we read God’s word, hear it preached, pray, and sing together.

It is not a performance. We believe the gospel is so good it has to be sung!
