Mission
Small Groups are in important part of Bethel. Small Groups are where we become connected, mature spiritually together, cultivate authentic, loving Christian relationships, experience discipleship and engage in missional living and relational evangelism.
Acts 2:42-47 is the foundational Scripture for the Small Group Ministry. All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord's Supper), and to prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. Act 2:42-47 NLT
Using this Scripture as a model, it is our desire to see every one become an integral part of a Small Group. We desire to be healthy, excited, authentic small groups based upon fellowship, the Word, prayer and worship, and missional living.
Bethel's Small Groups meet at various times and places. Most are composed of approximately 8-15 people and meet in someone’s home. Each group has a different schedule of how often they meet. Some groups focus more on age or season of life. Others are more mixed in who attends. We will try to help you find a suitable fit. Each Small Group has a different personality and may look a little different, but we usually eat together, study the Word together, pray for and minister to each other, reach out together, and live our lives together. There are several opportunities throughout the year when Small Groups can join together in outreach events allowing us to minister to others in our communities.
